Chef Corey Grech

We're excited to announce that Corey Grech, founder of Meat Brothers and the Native Botanical Brewing Company, is collaborating with Native Foodways.

Together we will bring you a range of native meat products as well as a bunch of brewed botanicals.

These include Kangaroo pies and Lemon Myrtle Ginger Beer. We're working on a lot more which we'll announce as we get into production.

Together we will grow a network of First Nations-led culturally driven kitchens and develop collaborations with a range of bakeries, breweries, and restaurants on the Central Coast. We'll also create a number of Indigenous apprenticeship opportunities.

We have a long history with Corey. We started collaborating way back in 2010 when some of us were working at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE). We would commission Corey to work with young First Nations people to teach them about native foods and First Nations approaches to cooking. Back then his company was called Kool Purple Kookas and it did amazing work in the community.

We're thrilled to be working together again in this new context. We can't wait to bring you native foods that have been cooked up by Corey and his 20+ plus years of experience in the culinary industry.

Get in touch if you'd like to find out more about this collaboration. Or let us know if you'd like to collaborate with us!
